Here we go! There are only 19 days of school left. Woosh! It is flying by!
I will be sending a note home tomorrow about school sack lunches for the Field Trip. We need to get a count for the kitchen ladies Wednesday. If you would send that back to me (on Wed) or send me a quick email that would be great! ALSO, the way the weather is looking there is a chance we might have to reschedule our trip to the zoo to the following Friday, May 10. We will keep you posted. AND, one more thing…so far I only have one confirmed parent chaperon and 2 “maybe”s. If there is anyway you or a member of your family could help (aunt, uncle, grandparent) I would really appreciate it. The more help we have, the smaller groups we can form, so that we ALL have more fun! Thank you!
The Marvelous May calender came home today! Each day has a special wardrobe, event, or activity. On the 15th we celebrate summer birthdays (the kiddos with birthdays after school is out in May and before we come back in August). You are welcome to send in birthday treats this day(or another if it is better for you – just let me know). We don’t want to miss celebrating with them!
We are continuing to read Fairy Tales and writing some, too. The kiddos are having fun. Poetry is next (and last).
In math, we’ve been adding and subtracting 2-digit numbers. next we will add and subtract 3-digit numbers! Knowing their facts will really help with this! We will finish up with a unit on measurement. Please continue to help them with identifying the coins and their values, as well as telling time. Most of the kiddos are getting this, but keep practicing. I appreciate all you do at home to help. Thanks!!
